White Wine Sangria

9 Jun

While planning our housewarming party we settled on a ‘summer’ theme, so naturally sangria was on the menu. And because I’m a spill adverse person it was easy to see that white wine sangria was the best choice. It was so hard to decide which recipe to choose as there were a million different ones on Pinterest and I had never made any before. I decided to take some things from a couple recipes and came out with this:

Strawberry Lime White Wine Sangria
2 limes (one for juicing, one sliced)
2 bottles of Chardonnay
2 bottles of Moscato d’Asti
1 container strawberries quartered
Juice one lime, add cut strawberries and sliced lime. Add wine and stir and chill between 4 and 24 hours.

It was fruity and light and sweet enough without needing to add sprite or sugar. It had a great flavor and was light and refreshing. A big hit at the party.
